TASK –

For our blog Using the ‘Story Arc’ and/or Vonnegut’s ‘Shape of the Story’ analyse no less than 2 short (10-20 mins) animated films, OR 1 long film (over 1 hr).

 Note: the more you analyse the more value you will get from this exercise. Make notes about each of the following sections within the films

• Exposition 
• Trigger 
• Rising action 
• Climax 
• Falling action 
• Resolution/ revelation (Dénouement) 

Make notes of the timing for the ‘trigger’ and ‘climax’ points, how does this break the film up into sections? Extension: Draw conclusions between the structure of a film and the audience.
